The Power of Community: How Healthsharing Brings People Together

The stories these Members shared show how health sharing actually works to connect you to something bigger than yourself, and to link arms with others who value the same things.
But why? Well, 2 Corinthians 12 teaches us about the kind of community Christians are a part of because of Christ, “But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body… Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (2 Corinthians 12:18-20, 27).
In many ways, this is why Christian health sharing ministries exist. WeShare was born out of a desire to embody Christ’s love by caring for one another. While navigating diagnoses and medical issues can oftentimes accentuate loneliness, being a part of health sharing means that you’re talking with people who want to both walk through the logistical questions of healthcare and make sure that your heart is intentionally cared for as you walk those journeys.
In our community, you’re a valuable, necessary part of making WeShare the inviting, generous, and supportive place that it is. And we’re always here if you need to remember that, no matter what you’re going through, you’re not alone.
