How We Live in the Joy of Resurrection
The weeks and days leading up to Easter carry an air of anticipation. If you participated in the season of Lent, you’ve spent 40 days reflecting on why we need Easter. Good Friday and Holy Saturday are days that exist in between the sorrow of Jesus’s sacrifice and the hope that His death was not the end of the story.
And, each and every year, we arrive at Easter Sunday with sighs of relief. The tomb is, in fact, empty. New life is indeed ours because of Jesus.
Easter celebrates the full and final victory over sin and death that Jesus’s resurrection provides to the whole world. Through His resurrection, we are both made whole as individuals and are united to others through His kingdom. We each become members of the body of Christ when we place our faith in Him, and are called to care for other people who belong to the body because of how Jesus has sacrificially loved us.
At WeShare, we aim to embody this Easter posture by offering a practical way for believers to care for one another generously by sharing medical costs, lifting each other in prayer, and walking together in faith. Just as the empty tomb symbolizes the life that reigns instead of the loss of death, our community actively lives out the faith we profess by bringing hope, empowerment, and provision to each other. Our mission is based on the very heart of Easter: a risen Savior who calls us to live differently because He lives.
In joining the WeShare community, you say yes to this mission. You join a group of people who have agreed to be tangible expressions of God’s love to each other, and you participate in making that goal a reality. You help bring His kingdom a little closer to earth by following in the spirit of the resurrection.
Happy Easter, WeShare. We’re so thankful to celebrate all that has been given to us in Christ with all of you.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
